I was suggesting that journalism degrees might rethink their objective of preparing students for the newspaper and broadcasting industries. Journalism jobs are now equally - if not more - likely to come from elsewhere: startups, blog networks, nonprofits, and the students themselves if they have any entrepreneurial nous.</description>
