What is going on with WordPress Stats?

icked on my blog stats today and got this rather odd graph:
What does it mean?! What are Region A and Region B? And why were they doing something in 2003 – 2005 when my blog wasn’t even a twinkle in my eye?!
When I refreshed the graph went back to normal, but I’d love to know if anyone else has had something similar or knows why it might have happened.

Possibly someone had your same WordPress blog name at that time, then let the blog lapse. Perhaps the stats system then called up, for some reason, the old set of log files from that defunct site? – D’log.

I think you may be right. According to others there has been strange things happening to the WordPress site today.
I vaguely recall an annoucement that WordPress stats were going to be updated to include information about readers subscribing via RSS. Perhaps that is what’s going on?

I get that quite often. Sometimes I just get an orange box, too. It always goes back to normal after a refresh or several.
Meanwhile, nothing at all (ever) displays where the graph should be if I look at it at work. It’s just blank space.
I believe the technical turn of phrase is “they’re a bit wonky”.
This crap is happening to my blog too and it’s EXTREMELY frustrating !
